Smooth and creamy with distinctive blue veins which become more strongly defined as the cheese matures. Colston Bassett has deep and complex flavours enjoyed by cheese lovers worldwide. An excellent dessert cheese, it is traditionally popular at Christmas, however it is also a wonderful cheese to enjoy at anytime of the year.
Butchers Tip
Store cheese in a refrigerator drawer. Avoid storing in the door, where it is vulnerable to temperature swings. Wrap hard cheeses in waxed paper, then store them in a zip-top plastic bag to preserve quality. Remember to let cheese get to room temperature before using.
